Ventrilo problems

Haven't had any luck from Google yet so figured I would post here (and probably in ventrilo forums). Anyway this started after I put on the windows 8 consumer build so it might just be incompatible but i think I had the same problem on vista.

The problem is I won't hear certain people talk for a while and then suddenly a few minutes later I will hear them as they are basically non stop talking for a while. It's like ventrilo is recording what they say then waiting 5 minutes before broadcasting it.

Probably just going back to windows 7 this weekend since this is very annoying.

40s, it isn't a lag issue.
