Default Fan help please :)

Hey guys I'm going to be getting a u2-ufo case not sure what model yet but they have a lot of fan slots (8-9). How do you connect them all to the power supply if it only has 3x3pin slots ?

In addition were can I find some nice purple/orange led fans.

Thanks in advance.

if your handy with a soldering iron, you can solder 3 fans per slot, also, alot of fans come with a connecting end, and an extention end to put multiple fans together. If your looking for some nifty coloured fans, i'm sure NCIX or Direct Canada have a good selection.

Depends on the size of fan you want i guess. I've got a couple 120mm Yate Loons that have the extentions, same as the glacial tech and Noctua fans i have. both 120mm and 90mm. though the glacial tech fans are molex only connectors while the others have a 3 pin mobo connector with a molex type extention.

what are you going to be putting in this box? are you actually going to need that many case fans?

The Antec Tri-cool fans do, although the fans themselves are kind of lousy.

ah, yeah, you might want to think about the soldering route then... If money's not really a problem, putting a push pull configuration on your rads will give you a few extra degrees. I'd DEFINATLY recomend the Noctua p12s, they arnt fancy and they be ugly as sin but damn to they work!! big drawback to having push pull on a triple rad though is you'll have 6 fans, 6 wires and 6 connectors knockin about, or 3 wires and connectors knocking about if you just go with the push config, wich is just as ugly anyway, So the soldering of the wires together is really nice for asthetic reasons if nothing else. btw the Noctuas have extention plugs on them.

do you already have the watercooling kit? NCIX sells a good kit for 200 dollars, and it includes a dual rad with good yate loon fans. then just get a couple cheepo 120 mm case fans for the front and back and a fancy led for the window if its got one. But really, i wouldnt skimp out on the rad fans, you go put all kinds of cash on a wc system and cheep out on the part that actually does the cooling... remember that the fans have to get the air through the fins of the rad wich have a high restriction. cheep fans just wont do the job. From experience, my Glacial tech fans are fine for case fans, but useless on a rad. the yate loons that came with my wc kit from NCIX do a really good job, but my 19 dollar noctua fans kick some serious butt. i can feel the air they're blowing through my rad from 2 feet away. like i said, they arnt pretty. but they work... reminds me of a buckleys comercial lol

You are correct But I'm still wondering what fans can connect to each other.

On another side note. Is it worth it to upgrade from a swifttech320 to a thermochill 120.3
