allowing Windows Update to install hardware drivers is a know/documented no-no. I always select 'Custom' for updates and review what is being offered - never including drivers.

I love how Vista is so supposed to be such a great OS but you try to install x64 with 4gb of memory and wtf... BSOD?

GG Vista.

Go get the 4gb patch for x64 and call it a day.
