Default Sony Vaio Laptop will not boot up.

Hello HardwareCanucks users, today i was using my laptop and my sister slammed the lid close (if your wondering how this problem was caused)

Now when ever i turn my laptop on, its stuck on the Windows loading screen (Windows 7 to be precise)
I've tried putting in the repair CD, other windows CDs for a fresh install, they ALL get stuck on loading screens when booting from them. I've had no problems with my computer till now.

If specs are needed i can provide some, but not all.

sometimes it boots up but freezes every 4-7 seconds.

My laptop is the Sony VGN-NS11OE
That's 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core T3200 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive

Could be a memory stick or other component came loose from impact. Are you comfortable taking the back panels off and looking? Could be that it dislodged some dirt or dust and your cpu fan isn't turning, causing it to overheat. Again, would involve removing back panel(s) and having a look.

Not sure what else to suggest....

I dont exactly know how to remove the back panel..
Looking at it from the bottom here its got the battery, and one screw that opens a small hatch type thing, it has ventilation holes in it so im guessing it has something to do with overheating components, but frankly i dont know, would you like a picture or two of the back and the screen?

You need a small jeweler's sized philips screwdriver likely, then just start pulling panels. Keep in mind, the screws may be different lengths, so maybe label them which one comes out of which hole.

Or, run it down to Staples or Future Shop or Best Buy :P

It wouldn't help *me* to look at pictures, but then, I usually just dive in and start taking stuff apart, whether I know what's inside or not.

Ohandforgodssakes don't do anything with it plugged in, better yet even remove the battery.

I own a Sony Vaio, my wife too. You should join this web-site and see if they can help. This quote gives instructions of how to remove the casing:

Im unscrewing the back panel right now, but some of the holes are too deep and i can't reach them with my screwdriver, any suggestions?

Alright i got the back open, i took the 320GB hard drive out, and put it back in, same thing with the CD drive, took it out and put it back in. the i put all the screws back on a and closed it, no results, still gets stuck on windows loading screen.

All this was done obviously without battery or power.

:(

No connector cable, just the HDD connecting right into a slot.

Would you like a picture? I really cant make much sense of laptop insides.
