Default I can't remove my side panel...

Hi, I just bought a nice new rig, but I cannot install anything because my case's side panel won't open.

I bought an Antec 900 and I cannot remove the sliding panel on the see-through side. The other panel slides off easily, but no matter how hard I try, it won't budge. It seems the bottom corner will move, but the top just won't budge.

There are only two thumbscrews to hold the panel on, and I removed both of them. The user manual just says to unscrew them and slide towards you. It feels like if I pull any hard then something might give.

Any suggestions?

I know this must sound pretty....humorous. Of all problems I can't even remove a side panel.....But please, if you are going to make fun of me then at least give me some suggestions with it.

Thanks

Try lightly tapping around the top edge with a rubber mallet.

I have the same problem with my antec p180 case- I generally just muscle it, but it's very frustrating- I think it's a product of a slight warp in the case- maybe from being dropped in shipping- I find leaning on the case from corner to corner halps me.

My Antec 900 side slides off very very easy. Must have a bent clip inside. If you bought it locally I would return it and let them deal with it. Better that than damaging something worse and not being able to return it later.

Just have them give you a new one. Should not be any resistance at all.

You might want to put your case outside for a while to let it cool down a bit. That might help loosen things up.
