My System Specs

Default Windows display scaling.

My monitor is a Dell U2711 with a 2560x1440 res.
As at that res the text and icons look very small, I've been using a custom display scaling setting on windows (Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display).
Now everything is wonderful except the fact that I get this scaling on Battlefield 3 (and GTA4 for that matter, but I don't really care that much about it). Which means I get a 150% zoomed field of view, poor resolution, and non synchronized menus.
Tried playing with the nvidia CP, windows CP, nothing. I'm really out of ideas

I would try changing the scaling back to normal and increase the default font size in your theme or registry.

*Edit
Scroll down to option three and play around!

I've had the same problem, one solution is to have two user accounts. One for Desktop work and the other for gaming. Keep the gaming account at no dpi scaling.

I oddly don't have this issue at all on my new Samsung 27" monitor running the same resolution
