Trying to set a card to do phsyx

Okay my set up is currently just 1 570GTX, i had an old 9800GT laying around and i thought, Although it's going to be pointless why the hell not use it as a phsyx card So i cleaned it with some compressed air, Put it in Windows detects it under the hardware management but under the phsyx selection in the nvidia control panel it's limiting it to either the 570GTX or cpu no option for the 9800GT what gives?

try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling and make it sure they are up to date.

Actually, the nvidia control panel just crashed when i was disabling my other monitors to do some bench marking and then it detected it, so all's good in the neighborhood.

570GTX in pcix1 and 9800GT in pcix2 with no SLI bridge

Yeah it was just nvidia control panel after it crashed and restarted it fixed... Although i actually bench mark higher with my 570GTX doing all the rendering & phsyx than with the 9800GT doing phsyx oh well :)

That happens a lot.
The GT is also really old to be doing PhysX with your 570 in there.

I found that going too many generations back actually gave me performance hits vs improvements.

IMO, it's not worth using an old card for physX. It just waste more power. It might bump your 3Dmark score. But really, that's it.
