Yeah that's what it seems with regards to RMA Kommie, checked out the RMA Request Form, and it seems Purchase Date isn't mandatory it seems, because it doesn't have a * by it. I might see how i can get through that, maybe see if ASUS might be able to fix for a small fee if i can;'t do anything about it.

I found another website that allows single orders but it would cost around 30$, and is it even possible to replace the whole socket, without using having to use industrial type equipment?

I would call Asus support and tell them your situation... They can probably quote you a price to replace the socket. I've heard of people doing this and the cost was around $140. IIRC.
