Yeah that is weird, I was thinkin that, maybe just over time (the tests I ran were pretty short) the system asks for more power?

I sorta scanned the post, so you may have touched on this already....are you monitoring your gpu temp? With case open, you're getting enough cool air, check. Case closed, not enough fans blowing cool in and exhausting hot, stuff overheats, check. Gpu's are sensitive to this, or can be. Could definitely be wrong, and you might expect to see artifacting first before shutdown, just trying to add a 'potential' to the list.

The gpu seems to be staying within its range, never getting above 71C I've run furmark on it and it runs fine....that's the weird part tho, why would my psu make it thru that and not gameplay....as for the case being open that might have been some wishful thinking haha

I called corsair and they are replacing my psu, I hope this works!

Thanks for the replies!

ok so i just my new PSU from corsair...i made sure that the MB is not trying to OC anything.

the BIOS says the PSU is providing ample power all around, i dl'ed EVGA's OC tester and ran that for 1 hour....no crash...i dl'ed OCCT but i am unsure on how to run it or what to look for. So i tried BF3 again....and SAME ISSUE!!!! *ARRRGGGHHH* WTF! when the system cuts out and restarts i check the temps (CPU=97F, MB=88F, GPU=72) what is going on? this issue makes me want to poop in my bed >_<

thank you all for the help....this is so frustrating!

Both those MB and cpu temp are high, have you re-TIMed them?
I would pull both the cpu and the MB sinks and see how the paste and/or tape is making contact.

They're not high if they're F as he says. In C, yes that would be too high. Up to date vid driver? Go back to an old vid driver known stable? Tested memory independantly?
