Sounds like a dead GPU to me. You can replace it as cheap as $30 with a 5450 or something if cash is tight.
Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes or shark attacks.

And that would be good advice if you could actually find the microscopic cracks in the connections in order to determine where to direct specific heat. Lacking that information, you'd end up using the heat gun on the entire board, which brings us back to baking. And the advantage of over baking -- which reproduces the manufacturing process -- is that you can determine the maximum temperature with much greater reliability.
