Default 1 key on laptop keyboard doesn't work after spill

This is actually my friend's problem with her laptop. She spilled water on her laptop, but thankfully the laptop still works after a pretty long while now. However, the "O" button no longer works. Any ideas if this could be fixable somehow? Thanks.

Time for a new keyboard. Bout $80-100 plus any repair time if it goes into a shop or just your own personal time.

I'm sure I can install a new keyboard for her. But it just sucks that she has to replace the whole keyboard just because of one non working key. Thanks for the reply

If you know how to micro solder you could fix it, however seeing as you're probably not an electrical guy with 10+ years experience doing it, nor a machine you're SOL and stuck with Enab's only alternative.

Pretty sure it's fried unless there's still water shorting it out under that key or on that particular trace.

For a cheaper repair alternative, buying a replacement laptop keyboard from one of those chinese ebay vendors should work too as long as you get the correct model.

What kind of laptop? I've got a few spare keyboards for older Dell Business Notebooks.
