Default Build won't boot, fans restart

Have a very odd problem here. Have a simple build here, Gigabyte z68A-D3h-b3 with an i3 2100 in it. Everytime I hit the power switch, the fans turn on, only to switch back off within seconds. These keeps happening unless I shut off manually by flipping the switch on the PSU. Also nothing shows up on screen. I know the problem isn't the PSU, as I've tried it with two different ones, and one I know works. I figure the problem is probably the mobo, but does anybody else have any ideas?

Sounds like you bent a pin on the CPU socket, check to make sure you haven't. Re-seat the CPU, reapply thermal paste and make sure your RAM is seated correctly.

Gigabyte boards are known to constantly restart themselves when there appears to be an issue with the BIOS settings. It's the board trying to fix itself, normally it gets it right eventually but that's not always the case.

Try removing the CMOS battery with the power unplugged for a few seconds and replace the battery and try again.

I had this problem with my build, I reseated the RAM, fiddled with the CPU fan plug, and it worked. Don't know what fixed it but searching the web seems to give this as a common problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try these out and post again with results.
