I'll try mounting it again when I got time. Do people still use the thin strip method in between the HDT heatpipes? I remember reading that's one of the most effective method for the Cooler Master Hyper 212+.

Right now, I found a temporary solution. That's putting the PC out in the open instead of where I usually put it. Lowers the GPU temps by 5C so it should lower the CPU temps by a bit too.

So haven't had time to remount the Hyper 212+, but after letting the AS5 settle a bit, temps are now 66C. Still high, but better than better. GPU still tops out at 70C, so I'd hate to think how high it'll get with the -advmethods WU.

I think the high temperatures are due to the fact that the Earthwatts uses a crap 80mm fan that directs air outside of the case, unlike all other PSUs which have a big fan at the bottom of the case which I guess is an intake fan that brings cool in case air into the PSU and towards the back and out of the PSU.
