Games lagg after sleep...

My new computer lags every time I play a game after it has been sleeping for a while. ( ex. I normally get 60fps in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, but after being asleep for a while I get 30fps when I wake it up) I bought this computer around 3 weeks ago or so, and I have been noticing this issue for the last couple of weeks. The only thing that solves the problem is if I restart my PC, then everything goes back to normal. I have never had this problem before in my previous computers and I can't find nothing related to my problem on Google.

Its a notorious/known problem that sleep mode with Windows 7 can cause this to happen.

This is my 1st time with Home Premium, my last 2 computers had Ultimate, hmm. I hope there is a hot-fix somewhere tho. :S

I have not heard of this, though sleep is notoriously buggy for many things..
Any reason behind this or seemingly not atm?

If you put the computer into sleep mode and then wake it back up, is there any error or warning in the Event log?
I know sleep mode bugs are generally caused by drivers not behaving properly, so the ones I'd check first for video game lag are video, sound, and chipset drivers (in that order).

chances are your video card gets stuck in 3D mode, this happens to me all the time and its god damn annoying :l

I just ran into this problem after the last update Tuesday. I disabled Hybrid Sleep under Power Management and it seem to solved the problem. For me, it was Windows Explorer being really slow. I also did a HDD chkdisk scan.
