Default Reconfiguring System - I need Help

I am reconfiguring my system after the SSD with my Operating System died on me. I got a replacement
but the replacement is a SATA 3 unit not the SATA 2 that I had before. In order to take advantage of the speed of SATA 3 I need to reconfigure my system as follows:

MB: Asus P6X58D-E

Old Set-up:

Drive 1 - SSD with Windows 7 64 bit. on SATA2 Port 1
Drive 2 - Hitachi HD used for Data - on SATA2 Port 2
CDROM 1- - on SATA2 Port 3
CDROM 2 - on SATA2 Port 4
External Drive 1 (Backup) - on SATA2 Port 5
Hard Drive Docking Station - on SATA2 Port 6

Raid 1 on the Marvel SATA 3 Port 1 and 2

Reconfigure Plan:

Delete Raid 1 on Marvel Ports 1 and 2
Drive 1 SSD SATA 3 - on Marvel Port 1 (SATA3 Port)
Drive 2 SSD SATA2 for Data - on Marvel Port 2 (SATA3 Port)

CDROM 1 - on SATA2 Port 1
CDROM 2 - on SATA2 Port 2

Raid 1 - Drive 1 - on SATA2 Port 5 )
Raid 1 Drive 2 - on SAT2 Port 6 ) Configure with Intel ???

Move Backup HD and Docking Station to a USB port.

Does this makes sense at all ?
Will the Intel Raid setup recognize the data on the previous Marvel Raid?
Will the Operating System Boot from the SSD on the Marvell ?? I've read in a few posts
that some systems will not recognize SATA 3.

Thanks .

Thanks for your help.

My System Specs

OS drive on a marvel controller isn't always the best solution, but i guess that's what you're stuck with.

I had nothing but problems. I cloned by OS Drive to the Vertex 3. The system will not boot. My previous Raid 1 HDs were not accessible after they were removed from the Marvell Ports and connected to the intel Ports. I am not sure why. The two drives were seen by Windows as new and unpartitioned drives. Eventually, I gave up on using the Vertex 3 on the Marvell Ports. I took a different approach.

Intel 320 SSD - installed Windows 7 64 Bit on SATA II Port 1
Vertex 3 SSD _ installed as the Data Drive on SATA II Port 2

Hitachi 3G SATA 3 Drive - Installed on SATA 3 Marvell Port 1 )
Hitacho 3G SATA 3 Drive - Installed on SATA 3 Marvell Port 2) configured with Windows 7 as Raid1 and working fine on the Marvell Ports as 6G drives.

CDROM on SATA II Port 3
CDROM Blueray on SATA II Port 4

External Backup Drive on SATA II Port 5
HD Docking Station on SATA II Port 6

System is running fine. I know this is a waste of the speed capability of the Vertex3, but stability is more important.
