haf x
i7 920
evga x58 classified 3sli
12 gb dominator
corsair ps 1200w
6hdds connected

k so this is my first build and im not getting pwr led on my motherboard. all fans work, hard drives spin, gpu is on, all leds are on exept the pwr and diag lights and has no video out, tryd re-seating gpu and ram, tryd single stick of ram, double checked all connectors looked on the internets for abit. im out of ideas. possible hard drive issue? im using a hd with some files already on it does that matter and does your main hd have to be connected to sata 0 or 1? should i just start checking the psu connectors for poper outputs? any thoughts?

My System Specs

Hey man,

That really sucks huh, I am not any good but I recently also purchased a used msi bigbang x58 and I was having the same issue but i did get into bios but I changed the memory profile to xmp. What I had to do was clear cmos and then I was good to go. Did you get video at all? Just unplug all your hard drives and try booting up with 1 attached only. ANd clead cmos and then try see if that works. That is so weird and I would hate to have that happened to me! good luck man!

try it on your table..do you have any el cheapo ram?

got another psu kicking aROUND? how about another video card?

the last thing you'll do is reseat cpu. why? the least you touch that, the least you'll have a chance
to mess the pins up :)
