Default problem with vidcard

Hey guys!
long time no see : / (1 year!!)

So my vidcard started acting up, first showing a brownish, Beigeish screen, then after I troubleshooted it(changed some updates and settings) I got a black screen(no response from computer, sound plays for a bit. In both situations). So I do a system restore to 24 hours back and fix the issue, but then the same thing starts to happen after a couple of hours. This is my card : NCIX.com - Buy ASUS Radeon HD 5870 1Gb GDDR5 DVI HDMI Display Port DIRECTX11 PCI-E Video Card - ASUS - EAH5870/2DIS/1GD5/V2 - in Canada its a ASUS Radeon HD 5870. So I googled it and I got the black screen with vertical lines, so i check out the link to the hot fix and there is apassword, anyone know how to access it or any other fixes that have come out? I do have the cataclyst driver/ program and my build is here: Buying in one week

I know this is not a hardware problem, as I've checked my temps, and tried downclocking.

I'm thinking of a doing a full pc clean up (really is due) but would much rather find a fix for know as I'm very busy lately with the coming of exams and everything.

Thanks for the help in advanced!
