Capture Card issues

My capture card has been giving me all sorts of issues and frankly, I don't want to deal with them anymore. I have THREE issues with this junk heap:

1) Audio desynchronization.

2) video hanging. Freezes for a good half second before resuming. When rendered to youtube, this appears as a sudden skip instead.

3) Bright/White areas create a whitewash effect.

Capture card is from ASUS; program I use for recording is Total Media 3.5; pc is the HTPC in my sig below.

Any idea what's causing these problems, or how to fix it?

yes but what crapture card are we talking about?

TV or video, to me needs more memory buffer then got for to work smooth

see, the thing is, the sound desync/skipping issue is actually intermittent--as in, it doesn't happen all the time. It does now, though, no matter how many times I reboot the damn thing. The only problem that's been consistent is the white washing.

still didn't tell me what model of card got ? how is the audio hooked up ? wire or fiber

the movie white wash is norm to me for your looking into the sun on that video ........glare/brilliance

even the org arcade game looks bad (4bit)

Don't know the model of the card right now (pc's packed up, i'm moving soon), and the white wash is not in the original video stream. it's a result of the capture processing.
