Multiple mice and keyboards, no sleep
I just did a fresh install of Win 7 64 on a SB system. For some reason, device manager shows three HID compliant keyboards and two mice (one logitech, the other generic). I have a logitech G11 keyboard with latest 64 bit drivers installed. It doesn't recognize it in device manager as a logitech.

I'm not sure if this is the cause, but my system won't wake from sleep now. It'll power down nicely, but when I try to wake it with the mouse I get no video to monitor and keyboard won't wake up.

windows 7 does not like to sleep.
you have to disable sleep for this problem of waking up to go away.
have you removed the generic all together and tried from there?

I've tried removing generic, but they always come back after reboot. I had my older system sleeping fine under Win7 and could wake it with a single press of power button.

yeah i had a similar install. it seems hit or miss for some systems on a fresh install if it wants to sleep or not.
almost all of my googlefoo led to windows 7 just doesnt like to sleep. and the only way around it is change your power settings to never sleep
im not to sure about the keyboard thing.
