My System Specs

Default GTX 570 crash

So i decided to go with the green side for the first time with a Msi Gtx570 OC.
I boot up everything went fine, downloaded the latest driver from Msi for win7 x64 and reboot, no problem.
So i wanted to see what it was capable of, so i ran Kumbustor on extreme and finished with average of 50 FPS. Then i tried cine bench ,and this is where it all went wrong,
it couldn't run the video bench the driver would crash and then restore. I tried Heaven ,it was running 3 minutes then white screen and music starting to go crazy.
I played Bad company 2 a bit It went Okay but crashed Just like what happened on Heaven bench.
Altough , my old hd4850 drivers were crashing too sometimes but not as crazy as this.
I was thinking to RMA it to ncix but if it is the driver fault it wont help me much.

So any idea of what is going?Faulty drivers maybe? I hope i wont have to Rma it, ... i hope.

*Also,
I was running my core i5 on 4 ghz but after seeing what was going on and restored it to 2,66ghz.
If it can help here my specs:
Intel core i5 750 2.66ghz (previously 4,01ghz @ 1,3825v)
Asus Maximus III Formula
Ocz Modxstream Pro 600 watt

theoretically on paper the psu is fine, but maybe not?

if furmark doesnt crash it? then hardware is fine though.

games and what not may put a bigger strain on the rest of the system, read/write to hdd etc.

furmark just screws with the video card, its got a very little footprint.

start doing some checking....run aida64 and check temps+voltages

then run linx for 10-15 mins if no crash or error then let it prime.

then check the hdd, hdtune is your frend

I tried to put back the clocks to the stock one (732mhz), and as far as it seems,
everything is doing pretty good. The artifacts are gone, cinebench and heaven works no problem.
Guess Msi just pushed that a little bit too far after all. Sorry for the Short topic lol.

Anyway Thanks for the help, aida64 sounds like very useful.
Problem Solved.

Yeah that sounds odd.....any of my Factory OC Evga SC Cards are capable of pounding well beyond the OC speeds before any issues......perhaps the Card needs just a tad bit more Voltage...?
Did you re-install Drivers after setting your OC back to Stock? Video Drivers can become corrupt very easily with a "unstable" CPU OC...

What kind of Temps were you getting when you were crashing?

I got the same card and have zero problems... I'd consider RMA as a problem at the factory speed may mean that your card has other problems... You can also run OCCT to test out the GPU memory. I can sort of understand not wanting RMA since they won't cross ship or advanced ship afaik.

Yeah thinking about it, i guess i'll try to Rma it.
Still i just added more voltage on the Vcore and works fine.
On stock settings it's running 786 mhz/ 962 mv , it doesnt heat much it just crash instantly.
But if i try 786mhz/988 mv no problem at all.
It just looks like something is wrong with stability.
