i am so idiot to use the jumper pin... thats why it didnt work... [i installed it into my customize case so no power button]... guess i have to use screw driver for a while...

we just tested it at ncix service and discovered why... and it also tested both unsupported and supported ram... no need to rma this mobo... whew...

okay... i am sure you know about my project at first customize case with gen3 i7 system

i dont have power button yet so i thought if jumper pin should be fine... (i should know that i try to use screw driver first).. so i put jumper pin on the power pin on the mobo... i just turn the computer by psu...

thats why...

after my work at this evening, i went to ncix, and asked if i can exchange... so they refused... so i asked them to test it before i rma it... so they did... the service guy mishandled the mobo (no ground himself or proper gloves)... he installed ram, cpu, heatsink, ram and vga except he also removed the jumper pin then finally power it by phillip screw... it just works...

then i asked him to shut down and tried jumper pin... and i realized that the jumper pin stuff is not working... we just laughed about it... then i also asked him if he has unsupported ram so he does have... we tried it... it works fine...

tonight, i will clean the whole mobo with 99% iso.alcohol... and try it tomorrow morning...

yeah... all laugh you want...

now i am clueless... how do you connect dvi cable from hd 6950 ( which port? i tried both) to dell 2209wa? i usually use crt to test the new computer... i also cant find adapter or old vga cable at my home...

edit: try other gpu and try use other pci-e plug (also try to test it with fan from stock heatsink and work)... (i did change auto input sorce to 3: digital input)

i still get something like this

have you tried both a dvi and vga cable ? For vga are you missing the adapter. if so i have around 8-9 of them kicking around somewhere. The only thing i can think of isnthe monitor is not detecting a signal before it goes into powersave mode. And as a fellow X58 Sabertooth owner i can say this board is very picky with hardware. (took me 5hrs plus to troubleshoot a problamatic usb device that was causing BSOD's)
