While dragging a window on the desktop, or while playing a game...or watching an in-game video, I infrequently see a horizontal "tearing" or shearing of the image.
At the suggestion of another thread, i've tried turning off AMD Overdrive in CCC.
Other threads about this discuss a lot of this happening to them. But for myself it is maybe 6 times a day I notice this...but it is still disappointing and i'd like to try and fix it.
Anyone familiar with this?
I've used both of these drivers:
does it pass a benchmark like furmark? hows temps, your psu should be fine but change power
connector and pci-e slot just in case. probably drivers/soft related.
no oc right?
This is what vsync fixes.... enable it.
Also in the CCC ensure in the "Video" under "Basic Quality" that the interlacing feature is either set to "automatic" or something of your chocing, I recommend "vector adaptive"
I have nothing to benchmark with. But it just went through a 30 minute test at NCIX...and there was no issues.
The interlacing was on automatic.
I'll leave it there and first see if the vsync helps. If not, I will try vector adaptive.
