Default Awesome, my new monitor just ate it!

So I was firing up darkest hour today and bam a dead pixel with a cone around it, I just kinda ignored it, then all of the sudden a pink/green line came out the top and a gray out the side. Now I have a weird cross-hair in the bottom right side of my monitor, how cool! So I guess i'll have no monitor for however long Asus takes to RMA. It happens at monitor power on, so it is most certainly not my video card.

dude, if you disconnect the monitor from the video card, does the like still show? It might be the video card you know. Or the cable.. swap the DVI cable? Try VGA?

Are you simple or do you just not read? I said I disconnected the DVI and turned the monitor on to yield the same crosshair with no connections.

This thread gave me a laugh, Asus is really good with RMAs though from my experience.

Ho another one...lol...Asus have a 2-3 week turn around for monitor. Pack it really good or they will return it to you. Also hope that they will send you a pre-paid shipping card because shipping amonitor is expensive :)

There were a lot better ways of handling a thread.

Closed.
