My System Specs

Default Ripjaw timing and a p67a-ud4

Hey guys,

I'm starting to get a little irritated with my new board as it refuses to the way I tell it to.

I'm trying to run my G.Skill Ripjaw 7-8-7-24 1600mhz kit at it's rated timings but my board won't cooperate. When I manually set manual timings to 7-8-7-24 @ 1.6v I get 8-8-7-24 when I boot up, I check the bios and it's set to 7-8-7. Next I try using the XMP and achieve the same result, I tried with 1.58v,1.62,1.64v and still haven't got my my timing right.

Any memory gurus know whats up? Anybody experiencing similar issues with gigabyte boards?

I have a P67A-UD3P + much slower 1333 RipJaws and have no issues like that. How are you checking your timings after boot? CPU-Z 1.56 displays my timings fine.
Also, under Advanced Memory Settings, try out "Performance Enhance" as "Turbo" or "Extreme"
