Default Gigabyte X58A-UD3R misreading temps?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone ever had misreading temperatures on a UD3R? I had my stock intel i7 fan in it and all the cores on coretemps were reading from 90C to 100C. I was like YIKES! So I went to NCIX and bought a H70. Same problem. I did all the reseating, thermal pasting, all that good stuff. I touched the HSF and its cool as a cucumber. Don't know whats wrong. In BIOS its reporting as 95C on CPU. Everything else is fine.

Just wondering if its RMA time. Don't want to take chances with my hardware.

Now just to check you have it set on Celcius and not Farenheit right?

if it is misreading, could also be the sensors on the cpu itself.

i wouldnt sweat it.

by thw way, are they stuck or they move around?

It's displaying as C not F. If it was 90-100F, it would be right around the right temperature...33-37C...Anyone ever have these problems?

Oh and they move around a bit..97-100 ish

Also the CPU is throttling itself...down to 1GHZ to 1.5GHZ when im doing a prime95. the Vcore is down to .915 which is pretty amazing haha.

And the temps haven't budged...still hovering around 98C

look at the contact the cpu is making with the hs or plate

if it gets uber hot in the back, maybe poor contact with ihs....rma chip.

its overheating alright.
