Default What can I do if the mobo manufacturer rejects the rma?

I sent intel a defective board a few weeks ago for rma because both the audio controllers and the usb ports had gone bad. At first it was just the audio controller so I bought a sound card and was using that for a while, and then all of the usb ports went so I had to rma it.

Intel just emailed me today and said the RMA has been rejected due to customer induced damage, printed circuit board/ thermal damage. I know it wasn't my componenets because all of them have been working fine for the last two weeks on my current mobo. So what can I do or am I SOL?

Phone them. It's way easier for them to say no via email than over the phone.

Maker is Intel, model is dx58so, and time frame since use about 1.5 years.

At the time I was using a logitech g15 and a Coolermaster elite sentinel mouse.

tell them to have a word with intel about the thermal damage. also induced damage? wth. unless you took a hammer to it, or it broke in shipping? do call them,as per above, and do be strict.

Few week's ago intel sent us a board for the same reason. Unfortunatly for them we take picture of the product before sending them in RMA. It finally turn out that the guys at intel just drop it and claim it a decline only to look like he never dropped it. Good luck with your issue hope it will have a good end.

That's some dirty trick.
Did Intel admit the repairman damaged the board or did you guys figured it out?
