My System Specs

Default IBM server problems

Hi i have an IBM Eserver xseries 205, the plan is to install Ubuntu Server Edition 10.04 on this server but i can't seem to get any video from the computer after i install it... i try to boot and i can't get grub and i don't get into the actual OS.. anyone know a fix? i have spent countless hours on google.. please help!

hey. what video adapter is there?

does it show like its loading and then blank/black screen or nothing at all

I'd first try a live cd and see if it works that way.

If it does then something with the install of the OS to the system is messing up.

You say you don't see Grub? What happens? Does it show the Post Screen then the screen after then go black or blank?
