Default "disk boot failure insert system disk"

the psu died on me
so i replaced it with a new one
and when we turned the pc on again is posts
and then in dos it shows the error

what the hell do i do ?!?!

My System Specs


Make sure your boot hard drive is hooked up Also check in your BIOS which drive is the main one with the operating system on it. I had an issue like this and pooched my MBR due to not paying attention to this issue.

check your HDD cables are connected fully

Which OS is this? You can fixboot or fixmbr from a recovery console and possibly restore the OS. IT's worked for me in the past.
