Default Prime95 Crash

Please see my specs below in signature.

Ok so here is the deal. I run my system overclocked it is a i7 920 @ 3.8GHz. I play a ton of games and leave the system for days, sometimes weeks without rebooting. I can run games at 1920x1200 full detail with no issue for hours at a time. I've ran x264 benchmark, all version of 3d mark and a 100 count loop test of Crysis benchmark with zero issues. My system appears rock stable. I've also ran super_pi and sisoftware sandra bench marks with no issues.

Here is the issue Prime95 will crash my system, I've ran it for 24 hours before with no issues. Now it crashes my system in less than 5 minutes everytime. This is the first time I've tried running it since upgrading to Windows 7 just over a month ago.

Could this crash be Windows 7 related? With Vista 64-bit it ran fine.

Should I even care if everything else is fine?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like your OC is not as stable as it was with vista. What might be rock stable with one OS, might not be as stable with another.

it may heat up something 1-3c or more than the other apps youre using, wich could go towards the crash.

Maybe it is temps. I run this program and it stops quickly when it hits 78 degrees. My CPU normally goes into the mid 80's when playing intense games and running benchmarks. It idles in the high 50's. I'm thinking I need to reseat my cooler, what is the best thermal compound to use now? Arctic Silver 5?

Smile Thermal Paste

I've used Mx-2, and 3. I like 3, and Ultra has some good paste, a bit pricey, but it works good as well. Ultra comes with an applicator in a small glass bottle.
