Default Hard drive not displaying correct size
Got a wd green 1.5tb sitting with me for 2 month as my backup and finally decided to use it. Plugged into my main rig and instead of showing 1.4xxxtb windows is showing it has 500gb ish. I tried replugging and restart computer and it's the same. It is partition under MBR using windows vista and I do have other 1.5tb drive running without issue.

What should I be looking at?

try repartitioning then reformatting. Perhaps (for some reason) only 500GB of space was used when the drive was partitioned.

windows and bios is showing incorrect size at the same time, even tried format repartition restart, different sata port.

Called wd tho and they suggested RMA, which I did. Thanks for the advise tho :D
