I had the same issues with my GTX285 before it died. Be prepared for the RMA, it will come.

I'm still reasonably sure it defective, but I have this gut feeling that this may be driver related. I'm going to see if I can find a slightly older revision to try. It certainly doesn't hurt to try at this point I suppose.
Oh yea.. usually after artifacting or corruption happens, a reboot usually fixes it for the time being, until it starts again.. I've had instances where an evga superclocked card was clocked a tad bit high, and I had to back off the clocks a little (on a 8800gtx SC).. I know you mentioned it hasn't been overclocked, though is it a stock gtx 275, or a pre-overclocked version...

It does sound like RMA time...

I have a similar situation.

using 19x.xx drivers, the gpu is fine during idle, but when its doing graphic intensive prgrams the screen usually freeze-->hang--->then it reboots if its been left for a few minutes. its either that or screen corruption, but mine is waayy worst.

At first it takes 3-4 hour of gaming to get one of those errors, A few days ago it crashes within 1-2 hours, and now it crashes/screen corrupts within 10min-20mins

After a reboot everything is fine and dandy again.

Gonna try 186 drivers and scan for artifacts with ati tool tonight.

how long should i stress the gpu? Till it shows artifact? or 2 hours?

Part of me just wishes it would artifact 100% of the time. Hey, at least that way I knew it was toast.

It is a BFG "OC" model, so a small 15MHz overclock on the core. I backed the clocks down to reference 633MHz core, but still lost display for a second at least once. It seems to be folding stable now though. Hmm..

Who cares if it's folding stable now though. What if later down the line it craps out hard and just doesn't work and your crappy Warranty from BFG is up then you're left with a paper weight? 15MHz OC shouldnt be a problem. RMA that shaz!

I'd love to RMA if I could.. It is a second-hand card with no warranty/receipt etc so RMA is out of the question

Backed off the drivers to 186.16s. So far so good, we'll see what happens.

Im telling you. Those 19107's are shite. Did you google about them? nothing but junk drivers causing problems!

You'll be fine.

Looks like it is definitely a software issue.. more specifically with F@H and 353 WUs. After spending time watching things carefully, it appears that all of the issues I've been experiencing have occurred between 353 WUs.

Going to investigate further, but this card is solid as a rock with everything else. I spent two hours gaming with a heavy overclock on the card without any issue last night too. I rolled back to the 186 nvidia drivers to see if that helps, but haven't noticed anything directly attributable to the drivers yet.
