Virus-No safemode

Ok guys, heres the sigrep. My fater told one of his many military buddies that i could get rid of viruses. fair enough, i got a computer riddled with them. now i couldn't use safe mode, task mngr was disabled and the computer took 13 mins to become usable from boot. now i have edited the registry to allow me to use cntrl-alt-del. and i have remotely gotten rid of many of the viruses. it only takes under 5 mins t now. i am unfortunately still running into problems tho. so i am currently using a rootkit scanner and will post results after.

my main question is. is there a way to disable safe mode in the registry? google doesn't help much. and if not, how can i fix it?

hno go. I get to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l I also have controlset001-002 and current controlset. none of them have "safeboot"

umm I would rather not reformat 3.0. that's a last resort only. I would rather exhaust all my options first.

that's very noble.... You have few forum specialize in it.. they have good sticky , the one I prefer is in french ( they are not bad in virus removal the guy on the other side of the lake )
