IDE Controller cards are not capable of generally booting from.

The bios cannot see these cards and cannot see the hard drive attached to it.

The only time these cards are of use is once you have a OS installed.

And perhaps this card is what is causing you grief.

I would have pulled it out of the system and gone from there.

My System Specs


I am 2x IDE hdd's and a CD-RW/DVD(read only) disk drive.

This board can only support 2X IDE driver or 2X IDE HD, there is probably your problem.

Ask for more.
