Default Insanely Slow PDF?

MY computer is nothing special, but its fairly quick. It does most things with ease. Yet PDF files are insanely slow. This is the only thing in the past few years about my computer that make me mad. Like sooo mad that I wish I still had a CRT so I could punch it (with little chance of breaking it)

Have PDF files / readers become sluggish and bloated?

Or is my computer overdue for a format?

(Yeah I already know I am over due - 2 year old install? But it still runs very reasonable for almost everything else so I am waiting till I get my new mobo - which may be a while since I just bought an Eagle Talon. I want waaaay too many "go fast" parts for her).

Stop using acrobat and switch to foxit if you haven't done so already.

Thanks guys.

I just grabbed Foxit and am currently giving it a test run.

Why do the big guys always seem to screw things up? I don't think adobe was this bad 5 years ago and burner software suits are enormous now
