Jeez! Still waiting for DFI tech support to get back to me on the subject. Sent them two messages. I am probably gonna try the DFI Club site as well now.
I also tried the defective drive on the JMicron controler and it errored out there too.
Also, since I had another one of those disks left, I took it out, replaced the one beeing picked up wrong, and have not ran into a problem yet. I have completely installed Vista, updated it, and have installed almost all of the apps I use. This is good news.
Well, if things keep going well, with this new drive, I can conclude that I received two defective drives out of the five I bought and, I will have to RAM them.
I am glad things are looking better for my mobo.
