This reboot wouldn't be approx same time screen saver kicks in...monitor shut off..or hard drive turn off ...would be kicking in?

That would have been my guess too.

Also, are you sure the card is properly seated in the motherboard slot? It may have been knoocked off whe you connected the new LCD.

One last thing, try running the lcd without the BenQ drivers.
