It could be a bad/dying psu, though it could also be the gpu.

Is your computer overclocked?

Definatly sounds like a hardware issue though, as when your computer starts and the fans are crazy loud an the screen is black, means that your computer failed post. Your bios will usually load defaults after a failed post, which would be why you can start it normally after turning it off again.

hrm, i notice that your ram speed is only supported with an overclock. what speed are they running right now? your motherboard likely has them running at a speed they dont much care for. Ram running at any speed other than what they were designed for will/could definatly cause the problem your having. Its doable though, you'll just have to monkey with the speeds and timings a bit to get them running in a happy spot.

Good way to test if its a ram problem is to run prime95's default torture test for a while, it'll usually show up pretty fast if there is a problem.

(nothing looks unusuall in your last post btw)

Welcome to the MSI world:) it seems to be a dying board for me. A problem that I have see plenty of time. PCI-e die so PSU tru to push more on start up to feed the VGA ( PSU run fast, no display ) familiar to me. But, there is also another thing, OCZ power supply have a wierd and stupid habits of fan controller dying. That can also be your problem. Try a new PSU if you can because it's way faster to change then a board, but I stick to my first idea.

What your looking for is under the "cell" header of the main bios menu. its called:

"FSB/DRAM Ratio" [Auto]

the options will look something like:
1:2
1:2.66
1:3.33
1:4

select each of those untill you get a number in the line under it that more closely matches that of your ram.

Adjusted DRAM Frequency (MHZ) #### <----This number will be your new ram speed.

Also while your in there you should check the voltage setting for the ram. I believe these run at 1.8V, but you could try bumping that up a notch to 1.9V to try and stablize them.
