Know how to make my sata the master drive when im also using a ide. it keeps loading from the ide over the sata?? any ideas?

In the BIOS you can pick the hard drive priority. Just go through your BIOS and find it. Should be like Hard Drive/Disk Order or something.

looking in the manual - it seems the boot device options don't allow you to define IDE vs. SATA ... just Hard Drive.

Boot Other Device (Enabled)
When enabled, the system searches all other possible locations for an operating system if it fails to find one in the devices specified under the First, Second, and Third boot devices.

I would remove all instances of Hard Drive in the First/Second/Third Boot Device and enable Boot Other Device to see if you can force it to look at the SATA drive

Some boards just seem to not play nice at all when trying to mix SATA & IDE drives together. I think it has something to do with the way the boards enable SATA over the IDE controller.

Don't know for sure about your particular board, just wanted to make sure you don't beat your head against the wall too much if you can't get it to work the way you want it to.
