Haven't seen a dead CPU in a long, long time. Probably the motherboard. But could we get your full system specs and the exact beep code, just to be sure?

Seeing as different manufacturers have their beep codes mean different things, and typically these are outlined in the user manual it comes with. Can you tell us what 3 beeps means out of your manual.

Yeah CMetaphor, out of all the computers i've personally dealt with other the years (probably not as experience or as many years as yourself), i have never ran into a dead cpu, always a dead mobo or other component preventing the computer as a whole to boot

Off the top of my head i seem to recall long-short-short : ram
but 3 equal length beeps is video.
Try a differant graphics card. Other then that, ive seen 1 dead intel cpu, 1 dead AMD, and hundreds of bad motherboards.
