My System Specs

Default Can't Play Games: DirectX Unrecoverable Error
Hi HWC,

I have a massive problem. I can't play any games at all.
All it says is that Direct X encountered an unrecoverable error.

All my other games don't work either ie: Flatout 2
I'm using Vista 32Bit Ultimate.

Just ~30 mins ago, the Vista Aero turned off...



Help PLZ!!!

Have you tried reinstalling directx 9c from ms?

Vista is dx10.

Run DXdiag.exe (from the run command box) and see what it reports.

nvm, i've gone back to XP, but now performance is suffering for some odd reason.
