Default mATX board in a standard case?

Just a quick question as I've never worked with mATX before;

Will a mATX MB fit in a standard mid-size case? I'm looking to buy Gigabyte GA-MA78GM board as a cheap replacement to a dead AM2 board, but I need assurance it'll fit in my mid-tower case with an HD4850 running on it. I don't care about extras as it's for a media box.
I could buy it's standard sized big brother, but the mATX saves me a few bucks

yeah it will fit fine. I did it a while ago with my dfi board and an antec 300.

improves airflow imo.

Yes it will, you might have to move a couple of stand off's IIRC, I had to move 2 going from a mATX to ATX.
