Company Name: Corsair
Product: Dominator 12GB Ram Kit (3x4GB 1600 Mhz)
Date purchased: November 2011
Date RMAed: September 2012
Where it was sent to: Corsair RMA (California If I remember correctly)
Ease of RMA: 8, Communication has to be through Corsair website only. Mail to USA
Any extra fees?: Just postage for the part
Wait time: 2 weeks give or take a few days
Details: Had two bad sticks in a kit, never bothered to RMA them until recently as I wasn't using the PC much. RMA process was pretty normal and straight forward. Communication has to go through their website, you can't just reply via email. Responses from Corsair were very prompt however. Shipped to California.
Satisfaction: 9

Really the only thing that could have improved it would be an RMA center in Canada. For memory it wasn't bad, but I imagine returning a Corsair case or PSU (I have both), would be pricey. Overall I'm quite happy with them.

Prep for a mind **** haha

Company Name: Hp Canada
Product: HP DV6
Warranty Period: 1 year
Date purchased: Hell if I know its the telus promo one
Date RMAed: Oct 19th
Where it was sent to: It was a bad drive they sent me a new one
Ease of RMA: (scale of 1-10) ***10***
Any extra fees?: Zero not even a required CC
Wait time: New drive and install disks showed up on OCT 24th 5 days after my first ticket
Details: Family member got one of those free telus DV6 Laptops not a horrible unit after a reload but his HDD failed so I contacted HP online support after running the built in test and BAM they ask for my shipping and send me a new drive no fuss no muss, completely impressed with this ONE rma.
Satisfaction: (scale of 1 - 10)** can I put 11***

Very impressed but still not enough to make me ever want to buy HP

Company Name: MEElectronics
Product: A616P
Warranty Period: 1 Year
Date purchased: June 26, 2012
Date RMAed: October 16, 2012
Where it was sent to: City of Industry, CA, USA
Ease of RMA: 10
Any extra fees?: Shipping to MEElec
Wait time: Received on November 2, so about 2 weeks in total with shipping.
Details: The wire's cover separated from the strain relief on the right IEM. The wires didn't break, but I figured it'd happen pretty soon. MEElec's warranty doesn't cover cable damage, but The guy handling my RMA (Mike) immediately accepted it and gave me instructions to send it back. No hassle, and nearly immediate replies to my emails with questions.
Satisfaction: 9 (Only one point off for having to ship it to California)

Company Name: NCIX
Product: ASUS S46CM-DH71 notebook
Warranty Period: 2 Year, (used the 15 day NCIX return period instead of warranty though)
Date purchased: Week before Christmas, 2012
Date RMAed: Dec. 31, 2012.
Where it was sent to: Richmond, BC, Canada
Ease of RMA: 10
Any extra fees?: Shipment to NCIX
Wait time: Refunded ~ 1 Business Day after shipment received
Details:
The notebook got into a no-POST state shortly after I received it. I got my RMA number within one business day, and the refund was processed one business day or so after the shipment went got to NCIX (not quite sure due to CC delays).
The only gripe I have is that the time period to send to NCIX (7 business days) was too short to reliably get the shipment there using regular parcel. In any case, this was great service for a busy time of the year for retailers. Kudos to NCIX for processing my support ticket so quickly on New Year's Eve!
Satisfaction: 9
