Any extra fees?: yes $10.00 shipping
Date RMAed: Febuary 16 2010
Where it was sent to: Mcallen,Texas

Product was easy enough to rma seagate does demand 2 inches of foam all around the harddrive or your warranty might be voided didn`t have the packing materials so used anti static bag bubble wrap and packing peanuts instead and packed it so the drive could not move and then taped the box tight packaged recieved on Feb 22 at Seagate but replacement took 4 days to ship after they received my drive then shipped back with slower ups ground rma was newer refurbishment model same size would have been nice if disk capacity had been upgraded seeing as this was nasty firmware issue

Satisfaction: 7

I am doing what I can to summarize this thread:

You will need to provide your original bill of sale, your RMA form as well as the customs documentation which came through the shipper and fax them to the CCRA. You will be able to get your money back most of the time.

It takes a lot of time to go through all of this, so I haven't been able to touch about 1/3rd of the responses. Each brand listed is completed up to March 18th, 2011

Well this isn't a manufacturer but I was highly impressed with dealing with them on an RMA/product replacement

Company Name: Memory Express
Product: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD
Warranty Period: (manufacturer warranty)
Date purchased: Dec 28 2010
Date RMAed: early ~Feb 2011
Where it was sent to: Canada, Alberta, Calgary
Ease of RMA: 10
Any extra fees?: Nope, they even reimbursed me my shipping
Wait time: maybe 3-4 business days once they got it
Details: I bought the their Instant Product Instore Replacement because even though I don't live in Calgary my parents do (hence I was there for Christmas) and I figured I'd just mail them the drive if anythign went wrong. It does of course so I phoned them up and they simply said to mail them the drive, my sales receipt (if I had it, otherwise they can look me up in the system) and my shipping reciept and they'd take a look. I was in no rush so I shipped it standard Canada Post so it took sme time to get there. Once it arrived they phoned me to say they got it and were wondering what was wrong because I had simply sent them a bare drive, a sales reciept and my contact info with no explanation which is my bad. I explained that the drive had simply stopped working and the steps I went to through to test it (try a different SATA port, try other drives, etc..) and they said they'll take a look. Couple days later I get a call and they say they've shipped off a replacement and emailed me a form to fill out so they could refund my shipping onto my credit card. The cost of the replacement plan was about the same as it would have cost me to ship it had I been in a rush so it was a good deal. I've never dealt with OCZ's RMA(or really anyone's for that matter, I'm normally a lucky sob with hardware) but with the treatment I got from these guys I have no problem paying the extra little bit on any product I buy from them (and I will buy from them again) so I never have to.
Satisfaction: 10

Company Name: MSI
Product: MSI GTX 570 OC
Warranty Period: 3yr
Date purchased: Feb 2011
Date RMAed: March 2011
Where it was sent to: Markham, ON.
Ease of RMA: 10
Any extra fees?: 1 way shipping
Wait time: 1 day + 3 days return shipping
Details: Unstable o/c on the card, contacted support first to try and get a fix without RMA, then phoned for possible cross-ship RMA (but they were out of stock). This initial experience was slow (they said they would send me an RMA # but didn't, took 2 days to phone me back instead of 1). After I decided RMA was the only way to go, I created my own RMA # and shipped at my convenience. Got a replacement card that works perfectly (although I had asked to get downgraded to a stock card and they forgot to, after telling me they would).
Satisfaction: 9 (would be a 10 except for communication issues)

Date RMAed: March 28, 2011
Where it was sent to: Chino, CA USA

Default G.skill, worst RMA period

Company Name: G.skill
Product: G.skill Ripjaw 2000Mhz 4GB 2X2GB
Warranty Period: Lifetime
Date purchased: Unknown
Date RMAed: March 1
Where it was sent to: Walnut, California, USA
Ease of RMA: 5
Any extra fees?: Shipping fee of 26$
Wait time: Unlimited
Details: I shipped the RAM on March 1 and now it's april 19 and still no sign from it. G.skill tell me it have been shipped via USPS Cheap regular shipping so no one have any idea if the RAM is still in transit or have been lost. Now I'm trying to get a replacement. Also seems that there is like only 1 CS representative since I always talk to the same person which always take 2-3 day to reply.

Satisfaction : 4. The RMA form is easy but it stop here. Terrible lack of communication and shipping via non-insured USPS is the worst idea ever. Ended buying new ram because I have no idea if I will ever see some replaecment at my door.
