Ease of RMA: 10
Any extra fees?: $20 shipping via Xpresspost
Wait time: 3 weeks
Details: The item was signed for the Monday following shipment. The item did not show up as received at WDC until a week later, at which time it was promptly evaluated and a replacement drive (same model number, newer variant)was shipped. The drive was shipped via UPS Standard service and there were no tracking details until the drive cleared customs a week after being shipped, the drive then took 4 days to travel from Concorde ON to Nova Scotia
Satisfaction: 9, to much dead space without status updates that makes you think the item vanished.

Company Name: NCIX.com / Netlink Computers
Product(s): Canon ImageClass Color MFP
Warranty Period: 1 Year
Date purchased: 19/08/2010
Date RMAed: 26/08/2010
Where it was sent to: Victoria BC
Ease of RMA: Easy
Any extra fees ?: No
Wait time: 2 1/2 Weeks from when i received it. 3 1/2 weeks since i ordered it.
Details: I received my MFP with a broken plate but no physical damage to the product packaging. Sent back to NCIX on the day i received it (nver even powered it on) then waited for the next 2 1/2 weeks for my refund to get approved. Not very pleased with the speed since the unit sat in the RMA dept for 1 1/2 weeks before it was approved. I am not a happy customer with NCIX and will not purchase from them again. I only went to NCIX out of loyalty as i had always had a good experience until now.

My System Specs

Default ASUS Radeon 4870

Company Name: ASUSTek Computer
Product: EAH4870 DK TOP 512MB
Warranty Period: 3 years
Date purchased: April 4, 2009.
Date RMAed: Sept. 28, 2010.
Where it was sent to: Markham, ON, Canada.
Ease of RMA: 2
Any extra fees?: Shipping to ~$10
Wait time: 2 days (1 day at facility, 1 day return shipping)
Details:
Since I found out earlier that their Canada phone listed did not work (tried to phone support about a mobo), I resorted to e-mail "battleship". (EASE -4 for phone not working AND being long distance if it did work)
I sent a support inquiry on September 27th about defective card.
I got a reply that I should file an RMA on Sept. 28th, but I had to file a separate request. (EASE -2 for agents not being able to give you RMA number immediately).
I filled out the separate form on Sept 28, and got an RMA number on Sept. 30. (EASE -1 for time > 24h)
Between the times I filled out their forms and got replies, I tried to check my status but their server was down - gave me an error message on ASUS web site. (EASE -1)
I shipped the defective card back and it got there Oct. 6. (picked cheapest Canada Post option)
I got the card back on Oct. 8.
The card I got back had screw head scratches on the PCI bracket. Additionally, they applied too much thermal paste between the core and cooler, such that when I took off the cooler some of the paste was overflowing around the GPU core and almost touching the resistors. I was able to improve my GPU MEMIO temp (~80 to ~70 celcius at load) by cleaning their dry paste and replacing with a thinner application of Arctic Silver 5.

Satisfaction: 5
