Default Sound only comes from the right channel

I have an asus P5PE-VM motherboard, ever since I got it from my friend the sound has only come from the right channel of the speaker. I have checked drivers volume setting and speakers. So I assume it is the motherboard. It would be great if anyone had any ideas to why it is like this. If no one can help then I will probably just by a very cheap sound card. The manuel to the motherboard is linked here:
