HD4550 / Acer H213H HDMI issues
 

I'm trying to configure my HTPC to use the HDMI connection with my Acer H213H monitor, but all I get on the display is a black screen, with the desktop ocasionally flickering up for a second with intense static. I tried setting it as an extended desktop, and fooked around with some resolutions. Even though the monitor is full 1080p (1920 x 1080), the HDMI wouldn't do anything over 720p. This is quite irritating as I expect to be able to fully utilize the display definition of the monitor... :(

one might wonder if the hdmi output is borked. Have you ever used the hdmi output ont that card where its worked (even at the wrong resolution?) Have you used the hdmi INPUT on the tv before? Can you hook a dvd player/360 or ps3 to it to make certain that the hdmi input on the tv is working properly?
