Question QX6850 idle temp?

My QX6850 using stock heatsink fan(default setting), the idle temp. is 50 C, is it normal?
I've read many review said should be around 30 C.

If it is not normal, is it the MB problem or the CPU?

Thanks for your help.

Off hand that sounds wrong. Could be a bad seating of the Heatsink , those push-pins are a nightmare at times to use.

Could you possibly give a complete Stat of Your Build?
What Case is it all in?

Thanks!

Thanks Soultribunal,
I did try to re-seat, re-apply the heatsink and seating tight.
I'm using Antec P182 with EVGA 680i MB
620HX PS, DDR2-800, 9800GTX

What kind of TIM are you using on the heatsink? (Thermal Interface Material).

Hope a Re-seat works for you. Fasten down the clips in an X pattern.
