Default Gigabyte MA790XT UD4P AM3 with 2x2gb 996601 NOT STABLE

First off : hey fellow canucks! Glad to be here!

My rig : gigabyte ma790xt ud4p AM3 mobo
mushkin ddr3 1600 2x2gb ram (996601 model)
Phenom II 710 AM3 cpu
ximatek rifle cpu cooler
radeon 4850 x2
700 silverstone strider

All settings are currently at stock. Just the memory has to be bumped up cause the board sees it as 1066. So here is the problem :

Memory at 1600, 7-7-6-18 at 1.9 volts
command timing : 1t
twtr command delay : 4t
trfc 110ns (all 4)
write recovery time : 12t
precharge time : 3t
Row cycle time : 27t

I ran memtest v 2.11 overnight and turned up 3 errors. I dont know if the memory is bad or not. But its not stable at stock settings. Is there something im missing?

check memory contacts.........use a pencil eraser an clean contacts

single or double side ram ? * DDR3 1666+ is supported with combination of AM3 processors and qualified memory modules, please refer "Memory Support List.pdf" for detail memory support information.

i don't see your memory on the list

Set the PCI clock at 100 to
I never much trust auto on that stuff.

Even your ht should be to a manual number most likely.

That info from gigabyte. Turns out its wrong. I did consult with them and mushkin to be assured that this was good ram for the job. Im assuming that future AM3's or a bios flash will bring 1666 compatibility. The amd guys themselves have admitted a flaw in the memory controller and are fixing it. Until then, 1333 DDR3 at 6-6-6-16 1t is working flawlessly for me.
