Red face AC'97 and HD AUDIO

I really hope someone can clarify this smal detail for me because I am going nuts! I am trying to install the AC'97 and HD Audio cables that run from the top of my CM 690 to my nForce 780i motherboard. I need to know which way they go. I feel very foolish for this and hopefully it really is just my error and not something wrong with the motherboard. I know someone will come to my rescue ... Farcry 3 is waiting for me to test it out but i am not going to play with no sound!! lol

Thanks
p3dro

My System Specs

Default

Use the HD audio connector. There's one hole blocked off, it will only go on one way.

Ok, so a little update here. It seems to have been a short in the audio connectors on the mobo. I RMA'd it with tigerDirect and the new motherboard works perfectly fine. I will post pics of the completed build on my thread in the builds section.
