Thumbs down Free Dos?

So quite a while back I built a system with some very good help from this forum.Yesterday I discovered the motherboard drivers disk and after 3 weeks of playing crysis with no drivers(except video) i started to install them first the Asus EPU utility. Then I restarted my system as told, and this message plasters my nice dell monitor.
Quote:
freeDOS kernel version 1.1.35w (Build 2035w-UNSTABLE, Nov 30 2005
Kernel compatibility 7.10- WATCOMC-FAT32 support
Copyright 1995-2005 Pasquale Villani and the Free DOS project. No Warranty. Licensed under the GNU General Public License Version 2
C:HD1, Pri [ 1] , CHS= 0-1-1, start=0 mb,size=31 mb

Bad or missing command interpreter
Enter the full shell command line:
command.com /P /E:256
i haven't installed free DOS at anytime so it could of been bundled with mobo (Asus P5Q Deluxe). also nothing happens if I type in the command line.
anyone know what to do?

if it helps system specs:
  • asus P5Q Deluxe fsb 1600mhz
  • Intel E8400
  • Enermax 620w pro 82+ PSU
  • Gainward ATI 4870
  • Seagate 300gb 7200.11 HDD
  • 4gb OCZ Reaper x DDR2 RAM
Thanks for any help.:help:
EDIT: My system is much more sensitive to being knocked than the dell i'm posting on a moderate accidental hit on its left side results in it freezing no matter what its doing. Its fine when restarted though.
